Special Prayers for the Month of Shaʿbān
Ṣalawāt from Ḥabīb Muḥammad bin ʿAbdallāh al-Haddār for the month of Shaʿbān.

Ṣalawāt from Ḥabīb Muḥammad bin ʿAbdallāh al-Haddār for the month of Shaʿbān

Recite this formula three times a day, minimum, in the month of Shaʿbān and even outside of the month – preferably you should recite it as much as you can – because it is the month of the Prophet of God ﷺ. It has been reported (from a minor position of the Scholars) that it is month in which the Verse,

“Verily God and His angels send prayers upon the Prophet. O you who believe! Send prayers upon him and tidings of peace, [Sūrat al-Aḥzāb, 56]”

was revealed.

It is also the season for visiting the Prophet Hūd (upon him be peace) in Ḥadramawt – God’s prayers and blessings be upon the Prophets and all of their families and companions, and upon the collection of God’s Righteous Servants and their followers in the most excellent way until the Day of Rising, in every aspect of time and moment.

The benefits within this prayer are immense and may God bless you with it, protect you from all harm and evil in both realms, and for ourselves and all Muslims, āmīn.

The formula of this prayer is:

ARABIC

ٱللّٰهُمَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم فِي كُلِّ لَحْظَةٍ أَبَداً عَدَدَ ذَرَّاتِ ٱلوُجُود، علىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ نَبِيِّ الله هُود، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ هُود، عَدَدَ كُلِّ ذَرَّه أَلْف أَلْف مَرَّه مِلْءَ ٱلمِيزَانِ وَمُنْتَهَىٰ ٱلعِلْمِ وَعَدَدَ ٱلنِّعَمِ وَمَبْلَغَ ٱلرِّضَىٰ وَزِنَةَ ٱلعَرْشِ (ثلاثاً) فِي كُلِّ لَحْظَةٍ أَبَدَاً مِثْلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ عَدَدَ خَلْقِكَ وَرِضَاءَ نَفْسِكَ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِكَ.

Transliteration
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim fī kulli lahẓatin abadan ʿadada dharrʿāt il-wujūd, ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammad wa ʿalā nabiyy-illāhi Hūd, wa ʿalā āli sayyidina Muḥammad wa āli nabiyy-illāhi Hūd, ʿadada kulli dharrah alfa alfi marrah, milʾal-mīzān wa muntahāl-ʿilm wa ʿadadan-niʿami wa mablagh ar-riḍā wa zinat al-ʿarsh (three times – 3×) fī kulli laḥẓatin abadan mithla dhālika ʿadada khalqika wa riḍāʾa nafsika wa zinata ʿarshika wa midāda kalimātik.
English Translation
O God, send prayers of blessings and peace in every moment ever, as much as there are atoms in existence, upon our Master Muḥammad and upon the Prophet of God Hūd, and upon the Family of our Master Muḥammad and upon the family of the Prophet of God Hūd, as much as there are atoms, a million times over, as much as can fill the Scales, as much as can reach the limits of knowledge, as much as there are bounties, to reach the extents of Your Pleasure, and to achieve the weight of the Throne (three times – 3×). [Then recite] And like this again in every moment ever, as many as there are of Your creations, until You are satisfied with it Yourself, as much as the weight of the Throne, and as much is required of ink to scribe Your Words.
